The Worcester Railers HC scores big at the Summit Campus by donating $20,000 to name the Recreation Room and support Summit Agency programs, services, and activities.
Summit Campus is a dormitory experience for neuro-diverse, high functioning college students attending any of the consortium colleges and universities in Worcester. The program is designed to foster personal growth and academic success. The Summit Campus programming will empower students with the transition skills necessary to reach their full potential for independent living.
The founder and CEO of Summit Agency, Daniel Dimezza, expressed his gratitude, “It is an honor to be recognized by the Railers HC leadership through their generous donation. We are proud to have their support and to name our leisure space the Railers Rec Room. The Railers Foundation commitment to community service aligns with our core values and goals to serve the community we support and our ongoing efforts to expand our services.”
For the third year in a row, the Worcester Railers have been named the ECHL Community Service Team of the Year. The award recognizes their leadership and continued support of good works in the greater Worcester community.
”We are excited to support Summit Agency and the building of the Railers' Rec Room,” said Worcester Railers HC Chief Operating Officer, Michael G. Myers. “We look forward to working with Summit Agency and their students for many years to come.”
Summit Agency, through their recent expansion in services, is the premier agency serving children and young adults with autism and related diagnoses. The Agency, the Summit Campus and Summit Health & Wellness Center are centrally located within the former footprint of Becker College.
