Summit Agency will join the Summit Academy at its new home within the Academic Wing of Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster Street, Worcester, MA 01609. We are excited to be more centrally located near downtown Worcester. All of our programs and services will now be within a walking distance of each other. The Agency and Academy at 73 Lancaster Street and the Summit Campus at 37 Fruit Street. Summit Academy will be starting its 18th year as a licensed therapeutic school alternative program for students K-12 with autism and related diagnoses. We partner with school districts throughout Central Massachusetts to provide a student-success centered individualized program and we measure our success by their outcomes. On Friday, June 14th, we graduated 4 seniors. We also started a primary classroom this year and now have 6 students, K-3rd grade. We look forward to continued growth and additional programming in our new location. The Summit Campus will begin its 4th year this September. The Summit Campus is a residential living learning community providing a dormitory experience for neurodiverse young adults attending college, an internship or working. This year will be another full house with new and returning residents.
Summit Agency also partnered with the City of Worcester as an ARPA grant recipient. With this funding, we held a 40-hour behavior technician training course. Seven Worcester residents have just completed the course and they are ready for their Registered Behavior Technician exam. Another course will be offered in the fall. A fall Open-House is in the planning and we look forward to inviting the community to visit with us in our new home!
